  • Patients have the right to receive health care from health practitioners licensed to work in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

  • Patients have the right to receive health care free from unethical behaviour, abuse, or neglect.
  • Patients have the right to be transferred and/or transferred to another health facility if their health condition requires this through the Red Crescent, or at the request of the patient if his medical condition allows it.

  • Patients have the right to have a companion accompany them during examination and treatment, as well as during medical discussions related to their health condition.
  • Patients have the right to privacy and respect during treatment and physical examination.

Complaints

  • In the event of dissatisfaction with the service provided, patients have the right to submit an official complaint to the administration. In the event that the facility refuses or does not reach a solution, patients have the right to submit a complaint to the official authorities.
  • Patients have the right to have the complaints they file against the service provider investigated thoroughly, within an appropriate period of time, and to be informed of the results of the investigation and the appeal procedures that may be applied.

Patient duties

Patients’ familiarity with the plan of care and/or treatment provided to them constitutes their consent to take all required steps and adhere to any medical instructions, which require certain responsibilities for patients or their representatives.

Information

  • Patients must provide caregivers with complete and necessary information and details regarding their medical history and current health status, including hospitalizations, medications they take, diseases they have contracted, and any other matters related to their health condition.
  • Patients should inquire about any details regarding information, instructions or health education provided to them by their medical care providers if they are unable to understand them.

Commitment to following the treatment plan

  • Patients must cooperate with doctors and medical care providers in adhering to the specific treatment plan in order to achieve the desired results through the services provided to them.
  • Patients bear responsibility if they reject the medical advice provided to them, or modify the treatment plan without consulting the treating physician.
  • Patients must sign a declaration form agreeing to the treatment provided to them.

Respect for others

  • Patients and their companions must respect health care providers, staff, and safety instructions.
  • Patients must respect the privacy of others.

Respecting appointments

  • Patients must keep appointments and inform their healthcare provider if they are unable to keep scheduled appointments.
  • Patients must wait carefully and patiently for their turn so that the best service is provided by the medical care providers.

Financial obligations

  • Patients must pay all financial dues to Motmaen Medical Care on time.
  • Patients must provide the Medical Services Centre with the necessary details about health insurance requirements and cooperate with caregivers regarding payment arrangements for the medical services provided to them.
